Action Without Vision is Chaos

For far too long, we have been navigating blindly through the complicated labyrinth of systemic racism and prejudice. Substantial steps have been taken and many goals have been met but often without a strategic unifying vision. While we appreciate these beneficial efforts, a great deal must still be accomplished so that Asians can coexist equally and peacefully with other races in America. We can no longer accept temporary solutions and compromise our positions just to placate the majority.

Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. But tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.

– Sun Tzu

We must begin to address the issues that encourage ignorance and hatred toward us at their core. Racism was not born from a single article, a single politician, a single idea, or a single instance. Similarly, it will not be eradicated through a single action, a single moment, or a single policy. Racism will only be conquered once we enact a multi-faceted strategy to reform the underpinning ethos and establishments that created it and continue to support it.

When we peel back the layers, we will find deeply ingrained mindsets, institutional designs, and foundational principals that must be uprooted in order to reverse the trajectory of our race. To accomplish this we will employ visions and proposals that:
  organize rather than radicalize,
  humanize rather than politicize,
  strategize rather than romanticize,
  equalize rather than stigmatize,
  and realize that we are
all part of the eqAsian, so are
  all part of the solution.
